New Bose speaker systems: CineMate 15 Home Cinema Speaker System and Solo 15 TV Sound System Posted: 23 Sep 2014 02:02 AM PDT Bose has officially announced 2 new speaker systems. This includes the CineMate 15 Home Cinema Speaker System and the Solo 15 TV Sound System. Starting with the Bose CineMate 15 Home Cinema Speaker System, This is a home theater speaker system comprised of a soundbar with four drivers, all arranged in a new configuration the company says provides full and natural performance. The soundbar is 12 x 2.75 x 3.25-inches, with two drivers in the front and the other two positioned on the sides. The soundbar has a control knob for the bass, a 9ft cable, metal grille, universal remote, and single connection cable. The Solo 15 sound system complements this, being designed to fit beneath a television rather than in front of it.
Next up is the Bose Solo 15 TV Sound System. This is similar-ish to the CineMate 15 in the sense that this is a soundbar as well, measuring in at 24.75 x 14 x 3-inches, and featuring five drivers. Likewise there is a single cable connecting the system to the television, as well as a bass control knob and universal remote. According to Bose, it will fit under most television screens as big as 50-inches. The Solo 15 will come with 5 drivers and will also be bundled with a universal remote that should work with most devices.

57% Off for Turtle Beach Call of Duty: Ghosts Ear Force Spectre Limited Edition Gaming Headset Posted: 23 Sep 2014 01:41 AM PDT Compatible With PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Mac, and Mobile Gaming Devices
Think of them more as gaming headphones you can use if you want, not all-around mavericks. And now, details! First thing you'll notice is that the headphones come in a very nice hardened grey box so there is little chance of the equipment being damaged during shipping. Inside you will the headphones, a package of cables and connectors and a little instructional booklet, all separately wrapped in plastic bags and branded with either the turtle beach logo or the Call of Duty logo. Setup and easy and straightforward, you plug the headphones into the in-line amplifier and the in-line amplifier into whichever device you are connecting to. There are multiple connection options depending on which device you are connecting to. Compatibility. The Turtle beach headphones are compatible with just about any device you can think of. Gaming wise they can connect to both the xbox 360 and the playstation 3 (of the current gen consoles), PC and apple Mac. You can also connect them to your cell phone, iPod, iPad, Windows Pro and any other tablet you can think of. As a bonus (although considering it gets released next week so maybe not a bonus as per se) you will be able to use these headphones with the new playstation 4 as long as you download the day 1 1.50 patch. I can't however find any information regarding their use with the new Xbox One but would be surprised if they weren't also compatible with that given the range of connection options it comes with. I will try to circle back and update this review in a couple of weeks when I receive my Xbox One. Appearance. The turtle beach Spectre headset looks excellent. The headphones are are made of two tone black and hard plastic with the turtle beach logo on the leather(ish) headband and the branded in multiple places with the Call of Duty logo. The ear pieces sport a white spectre skull on black which stands out wonderfully. Comfort and Durability. The headphones are fully adjustable in every way that you could want. The ear pieces rotate, the headband is expandable and snaps into place at various stops so as not to slide. It actually reminds me a bit of zip ties in the way it does it. The leather(ish) (it's not actual leather but looks and feels like soft leather) headband is well padded, soft and won't hurt your head, as are the ear pieces. It fits very comfortably and snugly and I've worn them playing GTA V for a couple of hours with no soreness (something I've had with other headphones). The microphone plugs into the ear piece using a standard 3.5mm jack and is on an adjustable plastic "wire" for want of a better word, so you can adjust this to be as close or as far away from your mouth as you wish. If you don't want to chat, playing a single player game or just listening to music on one of your devices, simply unplug the microphone. The headphones are very well built with hard plastic and good sturdy joints. The leather(ish) comfort pieces on the headband and ear pieces are also well constructed and shouldn't rip or tear easily. These headphones should last you for a long time. Sound Quality. What good are nice comfortable headphones if the sound quality doesn't match up? I'm happy to say that the Spectre headphones have excellent sound reproduction. You can adjust the bass and treble settings on the fly using the in-line amplifier to set the right balance for your particular taste. It handles treble very well without getting too tinny and has a nice deep bass, although I found they do struggle a bit on the very low range bass. I tested this using various songs connected to my iPad as well as connecting to my Xbox and Playstation. In game sound is excellent and you have separate controls on the in-line amplifier to boost chat and/or game music as well as your microphone level. So if you want you can turn the in-game music down, turn chat up and concentrate on chatting with your friends online or vice versa. Play the game whichever way you want. This Dynamic Chat Boost technology works extremely well when the action gets frantic and there are lots of people talking (or yelling), making their voices nice and crisp and easily understood. Overall the Turtle Beach Spectre headphones are an excellent addition to your gaming library and outstrips the free Xbox headsets by miles. While not the cheapest headset out there, it is true that "you get what you pay for". For a serious gamer, this is a great headset with the versatility to be able to be used on different gaming systems as well as with iPod or phone. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
iOS 8 has higher crash rates than iOS 7 Posted: 23 Sep 2014 01:23 AM PDT According to mobile application performance management company Crittercism, Apple's latest iOS 8 release is seeing crash rates which are 78% higher than iOS 7. The average crash rate across all devices is 3.56%, but on breaking down the numbers further Crittercism discovered that older devices are crashing much more than the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices, with the average for the iPhone 4, 4s, 5 and 5s being 3.57 percent, compared to 2.63% for the iPhone 6 and 2.11% for the iPhone 6 Plus. The average iOS 7 crash rate as seen by Crittercism is 2.0%. Crashes will be a result from both unresolved stability problems in iOS 8 and buggy 3rd-party apps higher crash rates are common in the early stage of a new OS version. Additionally, some of older handsets are running old apps that either haven't been updated, either because the user hasn't applied the update or because the app has been abandoned by the developer and won't see any further updates. Jasmine Tridevil Gets Third Boob (Inc. Video) Posted: 22 Sep 2014 06:09 PM PDT Jasmine Tridevil, claims to have undergone a shocking cosmetic surgery to add a third breast on her chest. "I got it because I wanted to make myself unattractive to men," she explained. "Because I don't want to date anymore." Jasmine Tridevil saved up for 2 years before finding a plastic surgeon willing to carry out the operation. She says her third breast cost over $20,000 and she nearly gave up on the idea after she had difficulty finding a doctor to perform the procedure. She told Real Radio 104.1 that she reached out to more than 50 doctors before one agreed to perform the surgery. However, Jasmine Tridevil claims she found a surgeon who agreed to carry out the unusual operation on the grounds that she kept their name a secret. "I called like 50 or 60 doctors - nobody wanted to do it." She says the medic took tissue from her abdomen and used it to fashion the third breast - a procedure commonly used for normal breast enhancements. Jasmine, from Tampa Bay, Florida, says the fake boob feels the same as her other two - although the nipple had to be tattooed on. She says her intention is to become a celebrity with her own TV show. "My whole dream is to get this show on MTV," says Jasmine, adding that she's paid a camera crew to document her day-to-day life. "I'm dumping every penny I have into this. If this doesn't work, I'm through." Realizing, perhaps, that execs might be put off by the idea of encouraging young people to dramatically alter their bodies for the sole purpose of scoring a reality show, Jasmine later clarified: "I got [the third breast] because I want to make myself unattractive to men. I don't want to date anymore." The massage therapist, who recently celebrated her 21st birthday, has been sharing photos of her unique cleavage on social media in recent weeks, looking for views and shares of her videos and photos. The woman often encourages viewers to circulate her story, adding trending hashtags to gain more traction. She admits her parents were horrified by the result and have since stopped talking to her.
